Like the Japanese idea of the cracked bow is a thing of beauty. Where you there at Maggie’s when were discussion perfection and imperfection?

No I don’t think I was there for the discussion. The photo was taken in my garden in the rain yesterday. Glad you like it Alastair and thanks for your comment.

I also love the idea that handmade Persian carpets often contain a deliberate mistake because according to Islam only Allah can create perfection.

By the way, Alastair, the Centre for Life Sciences photo of intersecting lines is featured on another post titled Play it

Great image, and well chosen lines from Cohen, Nikita. To be honest, I used to be a big fan, not so much now; perhaps I just played his stuff too much. 😉

Pleased you liked the image Steve. It’s amazing how rain and light can transform an ordinary object. I first discovered Leonard Cohen as a teenager and since then there are times when I can’t relate to his songs anymore. But then I’ll suddenly find I’m playing his albums and it’s like falling in love for the first time. It’s not music to slash your wrists to exactly but I think you need to be in an introspective phase.
